Mass-casualty drill tests emergency preparedness of the TQ Medical Staff.
One of the final hurdles we faced before completing the RIP/TOA process and assuming complete control was a mass casualty drill under the supervision of the outgoing group. The purpose of such an exercise was to test our capabilities and teach us what we didn’t know, and point out what are weaknesses were so that we could improve upon them. As evident in the photographs, when the "injured" patients began to arrive, the medical spaces quickly became cramped. Overall, the exercise went well and everyone had a chance to gain valuable hands-on experience in a mass casualty situation.
